This board appoints faculty and other members on the merit basis and this board has main purpose of conducting examination of 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class examination and after that providing students with certificates. This board is so vast their jurisdictions consist of following areas as mentioned below Charsadda District, Chitral District, Peshawar District and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas. There are many government and private schools those are affiliated with the board and running under its rules and regulation. Board also conducts examination for 5th and 8th class those are not compulsory but many students appear in them for practice.
